Austin City Limits is setup outdoors at Zilker Park and the six different stages will be ready by the time the gates open at 11 a.m.
"You get the opportunity to see 70 bands over a two-day period in one place, I mean that is unsual,” said Maury Sullivan, of KLRU and Austin City Limits.
But the park rules are pretty standard for concerts.
For instance, if your cooler and chair don't collapse, leave them at home along with video and still camera equipment, weapons, alcohol, pets, food and glass containers.

"The Erwin Center, Music Hall, any of those places that you would go to see a show, we're going to have the same type of security in place. Just because it's in the park does not mean you can bring in wagons and tents and stuff like that. Again, I encourage everyone to travel light,” Mike Walker of Capitol Sports and Entertainment.
Nearly 200 officers will be on hand to make sure the festival goes off without a hitch and they'll search all bags at the gate.
You should plan on using the park and ride from one of the state parking garages along San Jacinto because there's no onsite parking available at the festival.
"We're really encouraging people to take the free Capital Metro shuttles. You can pick those up at 14th and San Jacinto. Park your car in the state lots there,” Sullivan said.

For those people who planned ahead and purchased two-day passes, wristbands will save you time at the gate.
"We are redeeming one wristband per ticket per person, that means if you are a family of five and you have five two-day wristband tickets then all five of you will need to come down to get those redeemed,” Walker said.
Organizers are planning a full weekend, they just don't want any slip ups to spoil the fun.
