Eagle numbers flying high
Since the ban of the pesticide DDT in 1972, bald eagle numbers have been soaring with nearly 200 pairs nesting in Texas. Now off the endangered species list, many of these raptors are competing over dwindling nest sites and habitat.

Carp anglers take aim on Lady Bird Lake

Waves of sea turtles wash up on Texas shore According to the latest count, 425 sea turtles washed up on the Texas shore. Nearly two-thirds of those turtles died. The rest were taken to rehabilitation centers where they wait and recover until they're ready to be released.
